TRAINEESHIPS
Erasmus+ mobility for Traineeships can last from 2-12 months. The mobility takes place to foreign institutions, e.g. an enterprise / company, a scientific and research institution, a non-profit organization or other institutions. It is not possible to complete an Erasmus+ Traineeships in EU institutions, neither in institutions responsible for managing EU programs, nor in Polish diplomatic missions abroad. If the apprenticeship takes place at another university, this university must have a valid Erasmus Card (ECHE).
Students (regardless of their citizenship) of full-time and part-time studies can apply for traineeships: first-cycle studies (bachelor's or engineering studies), after completing the first year of studies, second-cycle studies (master's studies), third-cycle studies (doctoral studies).
Foreigners studying at PULS must be physically in Poland at the time of recruitment and have appropriate documents confirming the legality of their stay (Schengen visa, temporary residence card).
The possibility of traineeships also applies to recent graduates, but recruitment must take place during the last year of studies. The graduate's professional practice must take place within one year of completing a given degree of study. The length of the traineeships stay is included in the total duration of mobility at the level of study at which the student was qualified for the mobility.
The time spent on traineeships in the Erasmus+ program cannot overlap with the time spent studying in the Erasmus+ program, and the work performed as part of the traineeships must be consistent with the student's study profile.
The deadline for students to complete their traineeships is the holiday period, after the end of the semester, i.e. June-September; traineeships during the academic year requires obtaining the Dean's consent for the mobility. Recent graduates and PhD. students may carry out traineeships at any time, provided that they are completed within the duration of the project from which the mobility is financed.
Registration for traineeships takes place on different dates depending on the group of students to which you belong: PhD students / future graduates / 1st and 2nd cycle students.

Mobility capital
The Erasmus+ program allows multiple mobility for studies and traineeships. Mobility capital determines how much time a given participant spent on a mobility and for what period of time he/she can still go/cannot go because he/she has exhausted his/her mobility capital. How to calculate your mobility capital?
- mobility capital is 12 months at each level of studies (bachelor's, master's, doctoral) and applies to mobility for studies and traineeships (these periods add up and cannot exceed 12 months)
- you can benefit from a maximum of 36 months of mobility (12 x 3 levels of studies)
- for participants of long-cycle master's studies, the mobility capital is 24 months
Qualification conditions
Registration for traineeships in a given academic year takes place on several dates, depending on the group of participants (first PhD. students, then first- and second-cycle students and future graduates). You can register only using the online form (active – marked in red) at the announced recruitment time (standard recruitment takes one month). Candidates who want to pursue mobility as recent graduates must register and pass the qualification while in the final year of studies of a given degree
The basic criteria for qualifying students for studies are: knowledge of a language (English, German) in accordance with the requirements of the host university and average grade (from the last completed semester at PULS). The most important criterion is knowledge of a foreign language - to be qualified, you must obtain at least 3 points out of 5 in the language exam.
Points for average grade: 0 – 8 points (average from the last completed semester confirmed by the Dean's office):
3.0 - 3.24 (1 point)
3.25 - 3.49 (2 points)
3.5 -3.69 (3 points)
3.7 - 3.99 (4 points)
4.0 - 4.24 (5 points)
4.25 - 4.49 (6 points)
4.5 - 4.74 (7 points)
4.75 – 5.0 (8 points)
After adding up the points obtained, the candidate is informed by email about the recruitment result - if she/ he is qualified, is asked to send the Learning Agreement (LA) with the data of the institution to which he intends to go. LA contains a detailed work program including the assumed goals, methods of their implementation, expected results and acquired professional competences. The topics of the traineeships must be consistent with the participant's study profile. The final decision regarding the program is accepted by the Faculty Coordinator, confirming with signature on the LA.
Before departure, the student signs a financial mobility agreement with PULS (place of mobility, date, financial conditions). For the duration of mobility (minimum 60 days), the student receives funding - the so-called individual support to compensate for the increased costs of living abroad - the funding is not intended to cover the full costs of the mobility. The rates are divided into groups depending on the country you are traveling to. Mobility without funding is also possible (so-called mobility with zero support).
After returning, the participant is obliged to provide a written confirmation of the completed stay (Confirmation of Attendance) with the confirmed start and end date of the mobility and original of LA (after mobility part) signed by the host institution supervisor.
Financing
Funding in the academic year 2024/2025.
Individual support is intended to cover differences in living costs, not the costs that the student actually incurs while abroad. The amount of monthly individual support determined for the project KA131 2024 is not subject to change.
PULS finances a maximum of two months (students and recent graduates) and three months (PhD). The remaining period of traineeships will be considered a mobility period with zero funding. Within one qualification, each participant can go to traineeships and receive funding only once.
The rates of the monthly Erasmus + scholarship for mobility to individual countries are as follows:
Country | EUR/ month |
---|---|
Group 1 - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Island, Lichtenstein, Luxemburg, The Nederland’s, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Italy | 820 |
Group 2 - Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Spain, Malta, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia | 820 |
Group 3 - Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Lithuania, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Hungary | 750 |
In addition to individual support for the duration of mobility, students can also count on financing for travel days immediately before and after the traineeship, where subsidy for travel costs without the use of low-emission means of transport is up to 2 days of travel; and in the case of travel using ecological means of transport (green travel) - a maximum of 6 days.
+ 2 days (1 day before and after mobility) to places distant from PULS within the range of 10 -1999 km (one way)
+ 4 days (2 before and 2 after mobility) to places distant from PULS within the range of 2000 - 3999 km (one way)
+ 6 days (3 before and 3 after mobility) to places distant from PULS within 4,000 and more km (one way)
From 2024, students will receive a lump sum for travel costs, and its amount depends on the distance. The official calculator developed by the European Commission is used to calculate distances, available at http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/erasmus-plus/resources/distance-calculator .
The lump sum amount depends on the distance between the place of departure (PULS headquarters, i.e. Poznań) and the destination (official location of the institution hosting the traineeship). The distance of the one-way trip must be taken into account to calculate the lump sum amount payable for the round travel.

The lump sum for travel costs will be settled on the actual travel by the participant, documented by a coach or train ticket or a declaration of travel by a private car. The ecological (green travel) means of transport recognized in the Erasmus + program are: bus, train, bicycle, carpooling - a joint journey of people on the same route, for the same purpose, by car of one of the co-passengers (more information about the system: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carpooling Travel: by plane, by ship (boat, ferry), by car - by motorcycle is not ecological. If the participant travels by car in the carpooling system, his statement should include information about sharing the means of transport with other people. A person traveling by car alone does not meet the green travel conditions.
A mobility participant whose travel dates, irrespective of the means of transport, coincide with the mobility start and end dates listed in the Confirmation of Attendance issued by the host institution, cannot receive the grant associated with the green travel option.
Students who meet the criteria included in the definition of "people with fewer opportunities" (those in a difficult financial situation or disabled people, qualified for study mobility 2024/2054 will receive an additional amount of EUR 250 for each month of stay.
They will be treated as people with fewer opportunities students with a documented right to receive a social scholarship from PULS or a disability certificate on the day the university makes a recruitment decision regarding study mobility financed under the 2024 project.
Persons with a current disability certificate may apply for co-financing other than standard related costs. with travel and subsistence during the stay abroad (based on a separate application submitted to the National Agency of Erasmus+).

Documents
The basic document is the current form of the individual traineeships program, i.e. Learning Agreement for Traineeships (LA). Before departure, a program of classes to be completed by the PhD/ student/ recent/graduate at a foreign institution should be agreed between all parties. The document is first signed by the participant and approved by the Faculty Coordinator and a representative of the foreign host institution.
It is necessary to provide information about bank details to the account in EUR to which individual support will be transferred, which enables the signing of a university-student financial agreement specifying the tasks, rights and obligations of the outgoing student and the deadline for their implementation. Financial support may be provided to those leaving the country only if all terms of the contract are accepted.
Typically, students do not receive a lump sum for travel, but if they meet the green travel conditions, they are entitled to EUR 50 for travel. The condition for green travel is to travel using low-emission means of transport. Before signing the financial agreement, you must submit a declaration of completion of the green travel in both directions. The settlement of the lump sum for travel costs will be the submission of a green travel statement documented by a bus or train ticket or about traveling by car shared with other people.
The participant is obliged to provide the Erasmus+ Office with written confirmation of the mobility within the given deadline (Confirmation of Attendance) at the host institution. Moreover, after completing the traineeships, the participant is obliged to provide an Evaluation card, i.e. a short evaluation of his/her activities during the traineeship.
