The source of materials and raw materials and effectiveness of the solutions used of thermoinsulation materials. Solutions based on renewable resources (e.g. wood fibers) as a thermoinsulation materials. Insulating materials made of recycled biomass. Insulating materials bonded with natural binders. Future approaches of bio-based insulation pannels. Lignocellulosic materials for building materials: characteristics, classification. Unconventional materials used in the production of composites used in construction. Wood-based materials intended for structural applications. Technologies of structural materials production. Requirements for wooden structural materials.

Composite materials based on lignocellulosic materials: characteristics, classification. The use of wood industry waste for the production of composite materials. Technologies of the lignocellulosic-based composites manufacturing. Lignocellulosic structural composites. Perspectives for development of lignocellulosic-based materials. Life cycle assessment of lignocellulosic composites. Properties and production of natural composites with suitable mechanical properties and thermal stability using natural polymers. Production technology of biodegradable cellulosic and lignocellulosic fibers. Overview of the developments made in the area of biodegradable composites, in terms of market, processing methods, morphology, properties and product development. Critical issues and suggestions for future work, underscoring the roles of materials and textile for the future of new “green” materials.
