Biodiversity in farmland areas: from patch to landscape scale. Spatial diversity of soils and their functions in agroecosystems. Biodiversity of aquatic ecosystems, grasslands and arable land. Indexes and methods of nature evaluation. Bioidicating value of vertebrates: patterns and processes. Predatory birds and mammals as umprela species - a tool to environmental protection.

KNOWLEDGE:

EEP_W1 - functioning of biotic and abiotic elements of the environment (air, soil, water, plants and animals)

EEP_W2 - mechanisms and processes in the environment

EEP_W3 - different kinds of hazards and methods of their identification, reduction or elimination from the environment

SKILLS:

EEP_U2 - utilize obtained data for environmental and anthropogenic impact assessments

EEP_U3 - conduct multi-faceted analysis of natural environment conditions and processes

EEP_U9 - prepare the written report or oral presentation based on possessed knowledge and is able to present and defend them during group meetings
