Composite materials based on lignocellulosic materials: characteristics, classification. The use of wood industry waste for the production of composite materials. Technologies of the lignocellulosic-based composites manufacturing. Lignocellulosic structural composites. Perspectives for development of lignocellulosic-based materials. Life cycle assessment of lignocellulosic composites. Properties and production of natural composites with siutable mechanical properties and thermal stability using natural polymers. Production technology of biodegradable cellulosic and lignocellulosic fibers. Overview of the developments made in the area of biodegradable composites, in terms of market, processing methods, morphology, properties and product development. Critical issues and suggestions for future work, underscoring the roles of materials and textile for the future of new “green” materials .
